Raw-Edges
Raw-Edges is a design studio founded in 2007 by Yael Mer and Shay Alkalay after graduating from the Royal College of Art. Known for their playful exploration of color, pattern, movement, and material experimentation, the studio creates innovative designs that combine surprise, humor, and functionality. Their work has led to collaborations with major brands such as Vitra, Louis Vuitton, and Airbnb, earning prestigious honors including the Design Miami/ Basel Designers of the Future Award and multiple international design awards. Their works are also part of permanent collections at institutions including the Museum of Modern Art.
