Atelier Mendini with Alex Mocika

Alessandro Mendini was an influential Italian architect, designer, and writer known for shaping postmodern and radical design through his colorful, experimental, and eclectic approach. After graduating from the Politecnico di Milano, he directed major design magazines including Domus and helped found the radical design group Studio Alchimia. Mendini collaborated with brands such as Alessi, Hermès, and Kartell, while also creating notable architectural works with his brother Francesco Mendini, including the Groninger Museum. His award-winning work is held in major museums worldwide, and he received numerous honors including three Compasso d’Oro awards and France’s Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres title.
